MLB Playoff Recap and World Series Preview – Anthony Williams

Well if you read this blog last time, you’ll know I predicted the Phillies and Yankees to meet in the World Series.  So much for that.  On paper it looked like a lock, but yet again, that’s why they make you play the game.  The Rangers and Giants both won their respective pennants in six games to set up one of the most unlikely World Series matchups in recent history.  One of the biggest storylines of this postseason has been Cliff Lee.  The Phillies had him, the Yankees thought they had traded for him, but it was the Rangers who swooped in and got him at the trade deadline, and they are playing in the World Series largely because of him.
