Eric Milton

Eric Milton has joined the BATT Academy as a pitching instructor and brings with him more than 10 years of Major League Baseball experience.  A native of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Milton attended the University of Maryland where he earned All-American honors in 1996.

The two-time Cape Cod league All-Star was selected in the First Round by the New York Yankees in 1996.  He was the Yankees Minor League Pitcher of the year in 1997 before being traded to the Twins.

In 1998, Milton made his Major League debut with the Twins and in 1999 he threw the fifth No-Hitter in team history.  He was named to the American League All-Star team in 2001, a year in which he won a career high 15 games.  He also went on to help the Twins to back to back Central Division Titles in 2002 and 2003.

After being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, Milton won 14 games in 2004 with 161 strikeouts in 201 innings, all team highs that season.  Milton also spent time with the Cincinatti Reds from 2005-2007, however he missed significant time after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

In 2009, Milton signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers where he made his return to the mound, going 2-1 in just 5 starts before being sidelined with a herniated disk.  He underwent season ending surgery and decided to retire from the game this past off-season.
