Bruce Pugh, Pitching Instructor

 

Bruce Pugh – From The Baltimore area, and was selected in the MLB draft to the Minnesota Twins in 2008. Prior to being drafted he was playing in the local Baltimore, Glen Burnie, and Columbia youth baseball teams. As he by pasted his youth baseball time, he then went to Kenwood High school in Baltimore County. After being All- American, All-County and MVP of the high school league. Bruce then received a full scholarship to Louisburg College in North Carolina. Made second team All- Conference. After his freshmen year of college Bruce transferred to Hillsborough College in Tampa, Florida. Where he received All- Conference, All- Division and made Top Prospect list in the state of Florida. When his two years of college baseball were threw, the Minnesota Twins drafted Bruce in the 19th round in 2008. His first year with the twins in the rookie league, Bruce Pugh had a 3.20 ERA working out of the bullpen. His second year of pro ball now in the starting rotation, Bruce worked his way to low A and had a productive season. Striking out 99 batters with just 47 walks putting up a 2.86 ERA in 85 innings. Bruce now serves as a professional instructor at B.A.T.T. Academy, in addition as he get ready for spring training, Bruce also does all his off-season training at B.A.T.T. Academy and working with Athletic Edge.
