Module 2 – Conditioning! When is it appropriate for long distance, aerobic based work? Versus interval running and multiple bouts of sprint work, or anaerobic based work? Module 2 will address the concept of seasonal training & periodization, and like other modules, will allow each participant an opportunity to “practice” specific conditioning drills as well. Module 3 – Scap-Stabilization, Shoulder, and Forearm Program- Learn the same routine(s) and exercises Major League ball-players use for injury prevention of the shoulder and/or elbow. Each participant will review a series of scapula stabilization, rotator cuff, and forearm exercises relating directly to baseball. A brief review of an off-season throwing program will also be presented in Module 3. Module 4 – Strength Training – Appropriate Versus InAppropriate Exercises! There are many exercises in the weight room that are staples to any baseball player’s routine, and are extremely important in player development! On the other hand, there are equally as many weight training exercises that are contraindicated for a baseball player, which may not only detract from baseball skills, but potentially lead to baseball related injuries! $20 per head/per Module, or $50 for all four Modules, 9am – 1pm |
